We've come across a fairly large nest on the ground, only found it because of the loud noise emanating from it, it looks like an upside down nest, hidden under conifers and ivy, and sometimes the whole thing is pulsating when whatever it is makes what can only be described as a throaty throbbing noise, any ideas what it is please?
Do you get hedgehogs in the garden? It could be a nest but this is just a guess. Hedgehogs do have a range of weird sounds -- HERE

We get hedgehogs in the front regularly, wasn't sure if they could get in back, but we have been working on making it hedgehog friendly, so yes I think you're right, very exciting, watch this space
I hope so too. Let us know if you see some hoglets if it is a nest.
