Bird identification

Hello... Not sure this is the right place to post this (I'm new here)... But I saw this bird in my local park yesterday, and have never seen one like it. Can anyone tell me what it is? Thanks...

It's a Little Egret, Sophia, a member of the heron family. Nice filo plumes which means it's in breeding plumage.

Hello Sophia, you have a nice picture of a Little Egret a small member of the heron family which have naturalised to bred in this country. If you managed to see it's feet they are yellow with black legs and beak.

As said it is a Little Egret in breeding plumage,once very rare in the UK now spreading and breeding even in the North of the country. Despite this I still think of them as exotic,nice photo by the way.
