Craghopper Trousers with Berghaus over trousers into Muckboots with Rohan woolly liners-

It was still damp out there!!!

For advice about Birding, Identification, field guides,  binoculars, scopes, tripods,  etc - put 'Birding Tips'   into the search box

  • Out today on our local parkland filling up bird feeders at the wildlife group hide .........as Friday we had a new bird for the residential park records (G.W,Egret) and it was back again.    Wearing Tog24 waterproof trousers over thermal leggings,  Baukjen merino wool sweater in birdwatching green colour with fleecy thermal long sleeved top underneath,   wool socks and Scarpa Boots with  Katmandu fleece (bought in Australia ! ) and cycling gloves as fingerless are better for using the camera which also had its camouflage jacket on !!!      Ohh,  forgot to list my beanie hat with bobble the top Joy

    1. I was out all day on the Sunday just gone and pouring with rain all day. I’ve been on the moors many times  with sleet falling on off all day. Whether it’s, sunny, rain, sleet and thunderstorm's etc. I will still be out. As long as you’re wearing the right  lclothing to keep you warm. In the very cold and the right waterproof, wellingtons or climbing boots for footwear. The only time I might not go out if there was a chance of deep snow and I don’t have my own transport as I use the local transport such as buses and trains and if there was any doubt being able to get home by local bus or train I possibly would not go out birdwatching. Common sense and safety have to be taken into consideration. But 90% of the time whatever the weather I will be out for the whole day and 6  days out of 7 days every week I will be out birdwatching somewhere. One day a week I have to do housework to keep my home clean from top to bottom as I live on my own.!  I have my Paramo Waterproof Jacket plu my Paramo Waterproof Trousers if needed

    Regards,

    Ian.
