Have had a regular visit from a Spotted Nutcracker on my bird feeder. It took a while to identify the bird. Could you tell me if this is a rare sightin?. ( I have video taken 29 Oct 2024 )

Not heard of Spotted Nutcracker, so looked it up... looks very similar to a juvenile starling before it gets its full adult plumage

Over 300 Nutcrackers were recorded across Britain & Ireland in 1968, their arrival the result of a large irruptive movement into western Europe from their Siberian home; there have only been a handful of records since.

It's much larger than any Starling I've ever seen.
Am sure others will be along soon to give you a positive identification
