I have a Nikkor 200 - 500 mm lens and the coarse focus for no reason has jammed.
I bought it in lockdown and it's out of warranty.
Is anyone aware of anyone locally in the Stratford-upon-Avon, or as a nationwide trusted repair point who may be able to help?
Thanks for any suggestions / recommendations people may have.
Real-world recommendations are always best
Not sure what you mean by "coarse" focus. Personally I'd always use an authorised repairer/dealer, or go to Nikon direct, even if it is out of warranty.
I'll endorse the reply from PimperneBloke
There are too many finite and fragile components within a lens requiring specialist tools and very likely jigs to hold things in place during access and reassembly. Depending on whereabouts in Stratford you are, as to who you would consider sending your lens to for repair, even looking further out of town, with the A46 giving good access out of town should you need to travel.

Hi PimperneBloke - apologies that should read main zoom - the main focus ring. Thanks for the feedback
Hi Mike
Thanks for the reply - yes I'd googled and seen instructions for the repair, but as you say with a jig and the proper tools would end up with a large paperweight.
Back to research for a repair for me then
Thanks
