Hi there
I have been having problems with logging into the RSPB Forum all day today
Is there work being done on the RSPB site today?
Just wondering
Love to know what is going on
Regards
Kathy and Dave
I've been having trouble for months but I think that's more to do with my broadband supply as I have terrible problems getting on to Facebook in the evenings and can't view a youtube video. Saying that I've been managing to get onto FB this week. Shhh..... I thoughtI could try and get on here the ast few days but no and when I did I got booted off. Finally managed to post a message yesterday before getting booted off again. This is my second message today so may be pushing my luck....
Make the most of today because, unlike Sky+, there isn't a rewind button.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I have reported this problem to the RSPB website problem people via the main site. I had an automated reply that they are on holiday until 4th January. So hopefully they will do something about it tomorrow.
Cheers, Linda.

I also reported the Spammer to them and got the same Automated reply, think they really need to look at that aspect, we could have been over run with vile trash by now.
Anyhow, got dropped of early yesterday and totally unable to re-connect, so have a lot of catching up to do.
hi Juno
Yes, I know what you mean about the vile trash spammers that end up on Forums
I posted two seperate reports of my walks (1st and 2nd January 2010) and the reports are left unanswered by people because people are losing their RSPB connection.
A bit frustrating to say the least
Never mind some action will be taken this coming week I am sure of that.

Hi,
as the RSPB is a huge organisation with 1 million members I can't believe they'd have a community website that can't cope with a lot of activity. I actually think there has been less posting here over xmas- unless It's just the forums I normally go to- so I can't see it's massive usage slowing the site down.

For advice about Birding, Identification, field guides, binoculars, scopes, tripods, etc - put 'Birding Tips' into the search box
It's now 9-49am Monday morning. The last post on any of the community forums was the one above, last night just after 11-30.
Do I take it the server has been down all this time? It is very unusual not to have several morning posts by this time.
I type my answer up in 'Word', spell check/save it, and copy it to the RSPB
Even though I get a couple of lines of odd text but that does not matter.
As long as the reply is valid
Best solution to the situation at the moment. {wink}
I have gotten into the habit of copying everything I type, just in case there is a problem again.
They may just be having server issues, from what it seems the Communities section is hosted separately to the main site.
Things seem to be better today, so if whatever it was has been fixed thanks guys and girls!
If not I've just jinxed us! lol!
I can't log onto the forums or the groups 'live' - I get a server error page ..BUT
I can access and post like this by going to 'My Page' and accessing via my old posts - although that means I can't access any new posts atm-
WEIRD and a little disappopinting :(
I have informed the Lodge- let's see if it gets fixed :))
I'm not having any problems accessing the forums, although the link from my personal page to the Big Garden Birdwatch group gives an error message, but the link to it from the main forum page is fine. Weird again!
