I have just tried to post a link in answer to a thread but the icon is greyed out,
I could of course type it in as text but that is not a very elegant solution.
Regards Mike

Thanks to all who posted advice, but I use a mac and the right clicking procedure does not have effect.
Here is a test, although the link symbol is still greyed out.

Like Alan I have no experience with MAC computers. It could be a problem with the poor design of this site not having been made MAC compatible rather than you or your computer.
Your Sparrowhawk link worked fine after I extracted the URL from the page you tried to link to.

Not sure, Galatas. I don't have any problems with posting photos or videos. It's just the link symbol in the reply box which remains inactive.
Try this.
Copy and paste the link into the normal reply box (the small one that appears under every post ) Then click the Use rich formatting button. Don't do anything else , just click Post
Doggie, Galatas - I'll try your suggestions this afternoon - have to go out at the mo.
Cheers, Claire
I know of only one person on her using a Mac. They have had numerous problems.
Maybe you should start a thread asking who is using Macs on here.
I have just remembered. There is one absolute expert who uses a Mac. She will be around soon. I will make her aware of this thread.
