I’ve received a number of emails from forum members asking me a question. I find it very frustrating that I can’t reply to these emails. I’ve recently received a question via a forum email from a member of the RSPB forum staff, I can’t reply to this one either. Is there something I’m missing? How do I rely to these emails. If it is not possible, can it be made possible?
Build it and they will come.
That's curious. I am not sure how any forum member would have got your email address in the first place because there isn't the facility on this site for emails or private messaging. The only emails I know of that come out from other members are friendship requests but the notification you receive for those is automatically generated i.e. the member asking to be your friend doesn't get to know your email address. It will be interesting to see what the techies have to say about it.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Hi WF
I have received e-mails to my private e-mail address from the RSPB moderators and replied to them no problem.
Wonder what is going there WF?
Regards
Kathy and Dave

I've sussed that one now, I wasn’t paying enough attention.
Hi
It's not possible for other forum members to send you an e-mail directly. But you will be sent a notification e-mail (from the system, rather than a person) to let you know when a comment is posted on your profile page.
To respond to the comment, you could either leave a comment on your profile or theirs.
Hope that clears things up.
Katie
