Hi All,
Thanks to Doggie and GeoDave for pointing me at this page. I need a computer wizzard. Everytime I click on an RSPB e-mail link I get an error page which says, "Sorry" and "ECOS". This only happens with RSPB links. For example, September's E-Newsletter links, "Fall for fungi", "Tell me the winner", etc all bring up the error page. It does not happen with links from other e-mails eg. BTO. I have twice posted this on the "RSPB e-mail comments page" but to no avail. Can anyone help?
Morts
Hi Morts, have flagged this up with the techies, hopefully they will be able to advise.
Claire
Hi Morts,
We send our e-mails using a system called ECOS so it sounds like there was a problem with that system.
If you still have one of the problem e-mails, could you try clicking a link now and letting me know if it still does it?
Thanks,
Graham

Thanks Graham.
I don't have any e-mails to test at the moment so will let you know when next I have a link to try. It has been going on for some months, however.
Hi Mort, I have merged your two threads so they are all together now, in future you can reply using the blue reply button within the same thread.

Message for Graham.
I said I would inform you when I next got the "Ecos - Sorry" message when clicking on an RSPB link. This has happened with the "Latest news on sealife appeal" e-mail. Clicking on "Support our appeal" brings up the "Ecos - sorry" message. This is the first RSPB e-mail received since my last post and would seem to confirm the problem with all RSPB links (for me anyway!).
I've tried clicking on the links in the recent email "where have all the birds gone" and on the Sealife Appeal. Both work perfectly from my email application which is Windows Live Mail. It also works from Thunderbird. I wonder whether the problem is with your email client, Morts, or the way it is set up.
