We are aware that the RSPB website, including the Community, has been intermittently very slow for some users since 2 July. Please bear with us. We sincerely apologise for the frustration this is causing.
We are investigating the problem as a matter of urgency but have not yet discovered the root cause of the problem.

If any similar wonkiness happens in future (ie pages just look weird), it's worth clearing your web browser's cache (it's usually done from the browser's "options" menu). It sounds like it was probably a problem with the stylesheet file (the bit that makes the page look the way it should) - and sometimes your browser will hold onto a wonky file in its "cache" , which can make it remain looking weird until you empty the cache. So worth giving that a go first if it does happen again.
