The "E-mail me replies to this post" box tells the Community software to e-mail you when someone replies to posts you have made. However, there is a problem with the mail software that means these notifications are not being sent.
We are close to resolving this issue.

As part of the work to restore e-mail notifications, they were momentarily switched on today. This means some people may have received notifications from some old threads.
We are planning to restore the notification system fully on Monday 13 June.
