why do I get this every time I post?

I've not had any problems although the forum has been quite slow at times. I suspect some of the newcomers have had problems though judging by the number of multiple posts.

I'm having the same problem, I keep going to re-post thinking it will have lost my post but it is there!

Me too Chris. It's happened before and I now know that it does post even though it times out.

I live in hope but too slow for me, unlike other sites and that is why i don't post as much as i would like too.I only stick around because its the RSPB.:0)

Same for me as well. Newcomers to the site must get really discouraged by it - I know I do.

I concur. When I joined the forum I was very enthusiastic, but soon got frustrated by the lag. I come back every once in a while to check, and although it is a lot better than the early days, it's still too frustrating. I realise that the RSPB have to prioritise funds so we'll just have to live in hope.

It's been OK for me today., a bit slow but no time outs.

I'm like Pipit. I do know the yellow application doesn't mean you have lost your post. Your post has been made, but it has timed out returning you to the page. Patience is the only answer until we get our new software (next month with a bit of luck).

Oh dear Terry!! That means you will get a million of them when they start again!!! Mine are arriving as normal.
