Hi Techies
This is a first.
I had Posted a post, the forum was refreshing, and a black and white screen came up that said the account for my email address could not be activated.
So I tried signing out and signing in again, to see if that worked, and a mainly yellow page came up calling me A Deadlock victim, plus lots of strings of text.
I waited a couple of moments and tried again, and it's now fine.
Was it just me?

I've just had a major hastle trying to upload a few images with Yellow coding error pages but when I opened anothe browser window and checked the post had posted fine.
It looks like the system is throwing a tantrum after a busy day so hopefully it's a one off :)

Yes it did happen 10-15 minutes before I managed to Post an answer in a thread.
I decided it was probably due to an overload during the BGBW results

We'll look into this. It certainly should not be doing that, especially calling people names like "deadlock victim".

(A deadlock victim means the database asked for something but could not get it because it was being used by something else - it's nothing personal)

the deadlock fault is still about tonight.
Transaction (Process ID 189) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.
I did have the same thing happen a few times just after I joined up and started uploading some pics. The effect it had was it left my name up in the gallery but no picture (Ooops! not a very good start I thought). I noticed it had also happened to a couple of others as well so just put it down to the hamsters not turning the wheels quick enough in the engine room of the server.
