The official position is that Nethy is missing in action presumed dead. Personally I do not expect to see Nethy again.
The blog announcing her demise is here. See http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/blogs/lochgartenospreys/archive/2009/04/02/EJ_2700_s-fine_2C00_-but_2E00__2E00__2E00__2E00__2E00__2E00_.aspx

Hiya all...
I spent another half hour trying to post on this forum....it's crazy !!! Still don't know what I did to get here !!
What genius thought this lot up?
I'm on several other forums,and they're easy...but this one....the mind boggles !!
I will try a few more times, then if I don't work it out,I will officially surrender to the workings of this site !!.....such a pity.
Mikel

Hi Mike! It seems you are managing to post in some fashion, so you are doing something right. What might be throwing you off is that you have to click on <Reply> in the previous posting to make the next entry on that thread.
Now, if you DON'T use <Click to include in your reply> before you post your entry, it will just link onto the tail end of the thread, without quoting the whole of the previous posting first.
When you WOULD use <Click to include in your reply> is when you want to reply to a specific posting in the thread. Lets just say that someone about half way down the thread has asked a question that you want to answer. You would click on the <Reply> button in that post, and also on <Click to include in your reply> before you post your response. Then your response, pluse the quoted entry you were responding to, will be found as the last entry in that thread.
At the top of this page, can you see a black bar with <My Page> <My Friends> <Sign Out> <Help> on it? This is your personal navigation bar. Underneath this is a large yellow bar, which probably has 'Forums' showingon the left side of it right now. On the right you will see <Blogs> <Forums> <Galleries> <Groups>. This is the Community navigation bar, to help you move around the website. <Blog> wil take you to the LG blog we are all familiar with, and you can make an entry as you have in the past there. <Forums> will get you back here.
Hope this has helped you. This is new to all of us, including the team who set it up for us. Of course there will be teething troubles as we come to grips with it. That's to be expected. Please just hang in there with the rest of us and I'm sure you'll soon be fine!
Smiles, Jan.
Hi Libby
Thanks for the info regarding Nethy, I like everybody else on here will be keeping our fingers crossed that she is alive and fishing.

Mike just relax. You have the rest of you life to learn and I do not think it will take that long! :)
Four years ago someone joined one of my forums. There came a point where she almost left in frustration. However she came back and never looked back. Now she can hardly remember what it was that almost caused her to quit. However she now says that the forum changed her life for the better and went on to use it in ways she could not imagine back in 2005. This is a true story.
FYI Per Paula's suggestion, I started a Daily Update for today, Sunday August 2, at http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/groups/lochgartenospreys/default.aspx. As Paula points out, whoever wants to post something on the site after midnight GMT can start a new Daily Update (see Start New Thread on the above link). The idea is to provide a central meeting place, so to speak, on the RSPB system for when the birds leave and the staff's Diary updates slow down. Of course, this does not preclude also posting or blathering away on any other site of your choice! :-)
If it doesn't work out for some reason, we can always try something else
Dear Annette
Thanks for returning my sanity, in about the last 30mins+ I was reading your Daily Update (3 threads actually) turned my back and then they vanished- just like that.
