Change of Email Address

It is possible but you have to phone the moderators on the contact us page.

There is someone here that has done it recently, but i can't remember who it was i'm afraid.

Found an email form on the contact us page and sent them a query asking if they can accept a change of email address.

Hi somhairle. I started a thread on this a bit ago and someone pointed out the need to phone - the number is on the profile page.  I had  initially written a message on the "contact us" on the RSPB website.  I got a reply saying they had changed my email address, but later I got a Forum notification on my old address.  SO - today I phoned as soon as I got in from work.  The lady on the members' line was very sweet and informed me that they had my new address. I pointed out that I knew this but needed for it to be changed on the Forum.  She then asked me what the Forum was!!. I explained so she put me through to the "web department".  However she actually put me through to their internal  IT department where a very helpful man noted my explanation of the problem and offered to make sure it gets to someone who can deal with it, who will email me tomorrow on my new address.  I will let you know how I get on.  I cannot believe this rigmarole.  I have had to change a number of email addresses, many of which are also my logon username, and this site is the only one where I have had trouble.  Here's hoping, anyway.

Thanks, mozziecat. It does seem strange that we have this problem changing the email address. I have emailed them but it sounds from what you say that I should not expect too much.

I have now had an email from web enquiries saying that they have changed my emaikl address.  I'm not sure this is the correct route but in case you need it:  Web.Enquiries@rspb.org.uk

I too got a response telling me that they had reset the email address and after a bit of mucking around with my browser, I eventually got in!
