This leaves me unable to look at anyones photos or load any , my partner who is also on the community and has another laptop is also having the same problem ..his takes ages to load and he is unable to load any pictures. If anyone can help, i would be very grateful
Many thanks jane
Hello Jane
I hope someone will be able to help you. I have quite a new laptop and last night I could not access the galleries and sometimes trying to open pages on the Forum takes ages. I thought it must be my computer but now do not think it is. Sorry I am not much help.
Ange
Hi, unfortunately the galleries do take forever to load and it sounds as if the connection on your machine is timing out before the page gets a chance to load.
I have to leave the page about two minutes before it actually loads anything, I read somewhere that they are upgrading the web servers here at some point so that should hopefully speed the site up.
I love Columbidae.
Hi Jane!
There was a hardware upgrade on the site yesterday, which should have improved access to the Forums - though I have just had a wait of several minutes to get here!
As you can see from the post by Moderator Tom at 11.48 on this page, there is a separate problem regarding the galleries which the Web team are planning to address in the New Year.
In the meantime, you can post photos on Forum threads by clicking on the "roll of film" icon while writing your post.
Many thanks Ange ,
I feel a lot better now i know it,s not just us !

Hi Jane
Welcome to the Community from me. :-)
Sadly the RSPB galleries have been a problem for a while. Some of us upload photos to our Flickr accounts where anyone can see them, and as you already know you can always put a photo in a post by clicking on the green film icon while you are writing your own post.
Photos files upload best when they are reasonably small Jpeg files.
Best wishes Chris
