And the other trick is not to forget to untick the "Email me replies to this post" box whenever you post something.

Yip,i have had the same problem.Luckily, it is an e-mail ad i don't use.

If I could make a suggestion to the RSPB it would be please can we have this check box the other way around? So that if we want email replies we can check the box, rather than all of us having to remember to uncheck it for every post and every edit. :-)

Go to edit your profile on your home page , this is just below your name and avatar and where it says recieve community emails click on no. Do the same for notifications.

You need to remember to look on your My Page regularly if you say no to notifications, as people can be leaving you comments on your My Page that you will never know are there :-)

I think perhaps people are getting this the wrong way round. My Profile Setup is:

Receive community emails - Yes

Receive notifications by email - No

I get an email if someone posts a message on My Page, but none are generated by Forum activity.   

I just send all mine to my junk folder . That way it dont fill up my email . But with a click of a button I can check them ... Also have my face book e mails sent to my junk folder too!

Works good and no hastle :)
