I picked up from the LG Technical Test Thread that there was a new error message when trying to post a photo. I've tried too and got the same result
After you've browsed to select a file from your computer the file appears to upload but then you get the following error message and can't get any further.
"The page at www.rspb.co.uk says
Only known URLs and the following file extensions are allowed: .jpg. Please select a valid file or enter a valid URL":
Although it's no longer displayed as a Sticky the Having Problems with the site thread still exists and provides a link to the Survey Monkey for reporting the issue.

Hi Freckles, if you go to rich formatting, click onto the computer icon, next to word, it should upload from 500. Click upload if you can see your photo in the box. I hope this helps?

Do you mean like this?
Have you set the Content Editor to Enhanced? Go to Settings>Advanced Options in the black bar at the top of the page. Then you will see the full editor when you click on "Use rich formatting"
