Hi anyone, I wanted to post this on technical problems( I can find the site thanks to Doggie) but no where canI see a box to sent a message) what I want o know is, when I make a CD or a DVD of my pictures on my PC they will not play on my TV does anyone know why? I asked my computer shop who said I was using the wrong format? I don't understand. Bewildered Golden Oldie!
isn't wild wonderful
You need to do a little investigation. Assuming you're playing the disc on a DVD player, check in the instruction book for supported file formats. Once you know that, you'll know what sort of DVD to burn.

Thank you doggie, and all of you who replied.I did try clicking on use in a Cd player etc when I made the disc but my DVD/CD player which is attached to the TV(not very old but no memory stick slot)will not play them I get a message on the screen'unknown disc' I will keep trying thank you all again
Hi Doggie, I put my photos and vidios onto disc via windows explorer. The web site you gave me, (thanks) says convert picture files to PNG or BMP? My pics are JPEG and vidio clips. Don't know how to convert.
By the way the computer I use for my pics etc. is not on the net, my husband and I (sounds royal!!) have this one on the net between us. Regards Marian
Hi Bob and all who are helping me.My player says it can plsy CD's and DVD's. Which it can the purchsed ones. I have finally made a CD of my digital photos, they are all JPEG and joy of joys play on the TV!
I now need to find out how to play my DVD made from my Acorn Game camera. They are great night time videos and my DVD will play on other computers but not on my DVD player attached to the TV. It keeps saying unknown disc I think that on our player you have to finalise the disc, but if it won't accxeppt the disc I cant do that and there doesn't seem to be the facility on my PC
Finalising the disc is something you do when finishing the burn on the PC. There's normally an option in your DVD burner software. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure where that is on the normal Windows Explorer burner (not on PC at the moment to look!)
