Live in Derbyshire, and have a small wooded area which tonight there was 25 red kites all flying around together. Didn’t appear to be chasing each other not making any noise. Wondered how rare it is to see this, and if it means anything
I think that we were in the right place today in Suffolk , we saw 15 + Red Kites sitting together on a post and rail fence only 3 fields away from an organised shoot , it was as if they were waiting to get the spoils from the shoot that weren't going to be picked up ! It reminded me of Seagulls behind a plough.
