baby Bluetit urgent!!!!

HI All,

Can anyone tell me what to do with a baby bluetit that has been on the front steps since yesterday early p.m.

It can't fly but has been flapping it's stubby strong wings and I have seen the parent birds coming to see it with food, although I don't know if it's actually feeding.

The problem is I keep seeing (I can see it clearly from the window without disturbing it), it has flipped over onto it's back and can't seem to stay on it's feet.

I used a thin twig to see if it would grip and it has a very strong grip when I brushed the twig by it's feet. it actually grabbed hold really tightly. I don't think it has broken anything, but it just won't stay upright.

It's also very vocal and has a least done a poop since yesterday I know because it was in the pot next to where I left it. Using garden gloves to avoid putting my smell on it I made a little scrape in the semi bare flower pot (large size) to see if it would stay upright by sitting in a little cup shaped scrape. The parents came quite quickly to it's calls and had food in their mouths. But it still keeps flipping over on it's back.

Do I leave it to take it's chances or should I call someone?
