Recently, the council in my village decided to build 85 houses on the beautiful field right outside my window. They are soon going to ruin the view and scare away the birds that are nesting in it. Every day I see a kestrel and/or a buzzard. Their habbitats will be spoilt. Our village protested against the building, but they ingnored us. I need your opinions for something to say against the building before its too late.
Thanks.

Hi HK,
The planning application details should be available on your local authority's website.
Check out details there regarding deadlines for submitting comments, the date of the next meeting of the planning committee and to see what reports or letters have already been submitted by members of the public or by statutory agencies. If there have been no reports by any environmental agency, you could contact your local Wildlife Trust advising them of your concerns and to request an evaluation of the area from them.
Hope this helps a little,
Good luck, Claire

I'll have a look
Find something rare living there. It may help or give you time to plan a course of action.
Thank you Robert
After reading your reply I went out to see if I could do so and found a pair of Treecreepers living in one of the higher trees!
Thanks again for your advice
Please have a look at our web pages that have information on protecting wildlife sites near you, look here.
