Hi everyone.
I haven't been on this forum before but the situation that has recently taken place along the River Trent has provoked me into action.
I am a keen wildlife supporter and also an angler.Part of going fishing is to see the wildlife and especially birds whilst there...I'm still waiting for a Kingfisher to land on my fishing rod though... :)
I am posting up a petition regarding pollution that has started in responce to the incident of last week.
Until there is proper action to prevent these kinds of things from happening then all of our great loves are at risk.It simply should not be happening...full stop.
I hope you feel that this is a worthwhile exercise and take the few moments to show your support.

I am,however,completely staggered that more people have not done so.
Bearing in mind the serious nature of this petition I am dissappointed that more people have not seen it fit to acturally DO something.

I've just discovered this thread, and was very happy to add my name to the petition. It sickens me when widlife crimes aren't given the punishment they deserve. I feel only when comapnies are threatened with heavy punishment for poluting ecosystems, will they heed the warning. I really hope this campiagn is succesful.
