This has just come through my twitter news feeds ...

Keeping an eye on it, if they do, they shall be getting a letter! Suggest more of you do the same if they do.

I agree with you Ant, Disgusting if this were to be allowed to happen. All in the name of "Sport" do me a favour.
Feed The Birds....not the cats!!!!
I know....my spelling's crap !!
Hi Ant
I agree with you too. I will also be keeping an eye on it. Although I'm not sure what effect writing to English MP's will have.
"Every year up to 30 dead birds – including rare species like golden eagles, red kites and hen harriers, as well as commoner ones – are found in Scotland, and campaigners believe many more corpses are never found.
The birds have been illegally poisoned, shot or killed in traps.
The RSPB has warned the killing of protected species is jeopardising population numbers.
But gamekeepers argue that buzzards kill large numbers of birds – such as grouse – every year, leaving fewer to be shot by paying visitors and threatening the viability of sporting estates"
The solution here is to hold the landowner responsible for all illegally killed birds found on his land. I suspect that would merely mean that they wouldn't be found, but it might be a start.
Best wishes Chris

In the name of Bloomin Sport, makes me sick..........
Shared this on Facebook .
I find it absolutely disgusting too...............
An optimist sees the beauty of the complete rose.A pessimist sees only the thorn .
I'm with you on this one Ant! Keep us posted - I can write a really mean letter if the mood is upon me, strong men and women weep (hee, hee, hee imagine evil cackle)!
Definiely with you on this one. The level of hypocracy on the part of the SRPBA is staggering: they'll obey the law as long as they're allowed to do what is now considered illegal. The law appears to mean as much to these people as the wildlife involved.Ken
It's amazing what you see if you open your eyes.

Write to the Scottish MP's. There has to be a Scottish Environment minister? The birds have no boundries, neither do you. Scotland are still part of the British Isles (at the moment), and are still governed by our laws.
Nothing has changed yet, as I say, I will keep an eye on the story. If they allow it. The I will post here.
The RSPB has a page on Letter Writing Campaign Volunteers, its on the homepage options.
