Landlord chopping trees down

I've just come in from saturday morning shopping to find that my landlord has chopped down about a dozen or more trees in my garden without giving me any notice, surely he can't do this , haven't the birds started nesting by now, my garden is next to a wood and was a haven for wildlife, I had every thing in my garden, Nuthatches, Pheasants all kinds of Tits, Chaffinches,Bullfinches,Sparrows etc etc . I really thought that this sort of thing wasn't allowed.

Unfortunately you can chop down trees whenever, and my landlord did the same. My garden was quite scruffy with hedges etc, very popular with sparrows and dunnocks, but while we were on holiday, he cleared the whole scruffy area, scaring the whole sparrow population away.

This shouldn't stop your garden being a wildlife friendly one though - You can plant berries etc. in pots, and if possible, talk to your landlord to show how you feel :)

'Dip a dee dah, dip a dee ay, we're not seeing any birds to-day...'
