I am a little concerned to hear that the Council is going to get rid of the lake at Gloucester Park and houses and flats will be built in its place. The wildlife on the lake has been there years and it would be such a pity if the wildlife has to move. There are geese, ducks, swans and loads of other wildlife. Can anyone advise who to get in contact with to try to save and preserve this.
Thanks
Hi Saffy
I too am horrified by the proposal to build these houses on Gloucester Park. There is a facebook group set up called "Save Our Gloucester Park" and the guy who set it up (Andrew Buxton) can be contacted at buckers39@blueyonder.co.uk if you want to find out more.
Hopefully something can be done to save this portion of the park, given the sheer size of the recently developed Sports Village I think we've given over enough of our park already!
Regards
Nic
Hi saffy and nik
It sounds like this site needs local people to step forward to try to protect it. :-)
The RSPB web-site has some advice on what you might do Here
Best wishes Chris
