All I can say is maybe they could change the sentence from one of weeks to one of years. These people do not deserve to be called human, and certainly need to be kept away from decent people.

Dear me Nigel. Angry isn't a strong enough word.
These sub-humans need a taste of their own cruelty. Put them in a cage, shove sticks in their mouths, and set dogs on them. A few weeks in prison is a holiday for them, not a punishment.
Words are failing me.

I am afraid i can't look at the link as i know how upsetting it probably is.I will never ever, begin to understand how anyone can do such things.I don't need to see the link, to feel sick :0( I do wish we punished people properly though.

Sadistic and horrible. As Sparrow says they must be sub-human to enjoy inflicting pain and death on another living creature. I hope they serve every day of their sentence and wish it was longer.

What horrible people to do such a thing to any wild animals - sadly there are horrible people around like this now and they always trip over their own horribleness sooner than later
To me this is the closest related thing to Badger Baiting at its worst - I see that they used a few species of animals to get their kicks !!!!
I would not be surprised if they where high on a substance too.

I don't believe answering violence with violence is the answer, though it may be the gut reaction of a lot of people.
Well if i had my way, i would ship these types out to helmand province, to lift land mines,
in front of the army, as punishment.

Angry and sad isn't even half of it. It's sometimes unimaginable to consider myself a part of the same human race that includes animals like these people.
I can't believe that they only received 26 weeks and 20 weeks respectively in prison. In my humble opinion that isn't nearly enough.
I don't know what the answer is to people like this. There is no hope for them to ever be a normal part of a community.

Hi Chris,how right you are.They simply can not see what they are doing as wrong.Hence "its just a badger"
They will never be a normal part of the community and once free, will probably continue as before.
I will not advocate violence but named,shamed and being made to stand in the town centre everyday whilst serving their sentence ,with a huge postboard behind them ,and the newspapers making a meal out of it, would at least give me some satisfaction.Even they, would understand that....
