Hi there
http://raptorpolitics.org.uk/?p=2369 I found this interesting website called 'raptorpolitics' and it has shown a missed story about a Peregrine Falcon being killed by a car on the 10th October 2010 close to Leighton Moss It just shows there is so much going on that some stories get overlooked at times. So sad to hear of this birds demise, and all it was doing is catching a meal Regards Kathy and Dave
I'm really sorry to hear about this. We visited this pair of Peregrines at Warton Crag back in May - here's one of the photos Mr aiki took:

I feel the same Aiki - I stumbled across this website by accident while looking for something else, and was so saddened to see this happening at all
Any idea if it is the male or female in your photo at all?
Regards
Kathy and Dave
I think it's the male but not certain, as we didn't see the pair together.
Hi aiki
Have you been since May time when you took the photographs?
It's so sad to see that yet another peregrine has been lost, although at least it was accidental in this case.
Still on the other hand there is a positive note that a new male peregrine will probably move into the territory in time for the next breeding season.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that does happen. :-)
Best wishes Chris

That's one great peregrine photo aiki. :-)
Hi Chris
I feel like that too - Chris, and I hope that a new Peregrine male moves in the area. No doubt We will be informed by those people who visit the area as Aiki does.
Aiki: I mean't to say what a superb picture Aiki, and a great all action shot!
Hi Kathy
What a sad story of such a beautiful bird. I'm sorry to say it's the high price that our wildlife pays so that man can travel around.
I would also like to see people taking a little more time to give the the wildlife a chance.
Robert
Hi Robert
Yes, it is a sad tale, and it makes us think about our wildlife a lot.
Cars are so abundant now and sadly it is the wildlife that suffers at the end of the day. Wildlife cannot compete with cars at all.
I know Dave tries to avoid al wild animals/domestic animals on the road no matter what it is.
This a good website to come across as in post 1, and it gives us al the latest information about our BoP's in the UK - very informative indeed.
So anything that we do not hear about this is the place to go for up to date news.
