National Forests UNDER THREAT!!!

Hello everyone

The government as part of their attempts to reduce the deficit are planning to sell off our National Forests to the highest bidder. This could see treasures such as Sherwood Forest and the Forest of Dean turned into 'Center Parc' holiday resorts, golf courses or felled for commercial timber...

If this were allowed to happen it would be disaster for our already beleagured wildlife and an irreparable loss to future generations. It has to be stopped! Please go to  http://www.38degrees.org.uk  for further information and to sign the petition.

Thanks

    What an absolute joke.

With all this talk about conserving our natural assists and saving species, its so counterproductive to make what is a short term fix for our ailing economy.

Money does not make the world go round, its biodiversity that does that and the quicker governments around the world realise this the better, healthier, richer in species this planet will be.

All we can hope for is that they listen and do something positive.

    Thanks
