I have been watching this programme tonight and there are three issues that are being talked about which will be of interest on this Forum.

  • Dutch Elm Disease

Sadly it looks although this disease is back again and causing problems with Trees - the ones that survived over the years.  It is sad to see a 70 year Tree getting felled because the disease is so rampant.  Will it ever end.

  • Badgers and Bovine TB

Alan discussed the problems about Bovine TB amongst the badgers once more and how it is affecting his herds of cattle  He has rare breeds, and if they are infested it makes it all the harder to deal with.

  • The Flood Defences at the South Downs

An article about the funding for the Flood defences.  It appears the the environment agency is not going to fund/support this issue now.
