As i live in a council house, the local council always insist on your garden been absolutely tidy. It means having to have the lawn cut absolutely short as much i would like to leave it a little uncut to attract insects and other wildlife its imposible as i know of at least one council tenant who's had a warning telling him to tidy up the garden. I do have birdfeeders out and water for the birds as well. Are there any other members of this forum having similar problems who are council tenants?
Regards,
Ian.
You could cheat...keep the lawn short but plant wildflowers in containers and place them around the edge of the lawn instead of keeping the grass longer.
