Hi there
Dave drew my attention to this story today
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/wildlife/7357430/Rescued-rare-bittern-released-back-into-the-wild.html
All I can say what a lucky bird to have escaped the overhead cable as he/she did.
Regards
Kathy and Dave
A happy ending which is always good! :-)

Hi MarJus
Poor bird must have had a real fright.
It is good to see a picture of him looking perky once more.
Never seen a bittern in flight so I wonder if they are low flyers.. hence.. the utility wire problem
Great sucess storyThanks for sharing
Of all creatures, man is the most detestable, he is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain. ~ Mark Twain
I actually saw this story on our local tv news. I so admire the people who devote their time to nursing birds and animals back to full health.
