She certainly does seem to be avoiding long spells in the box, not like last week when it all looked hopeful?
BUT ... there are several sites around the Country still awaiting first eggs & others who have only just laid first ... so definitely not too late should things quieten down again at Sheffield!
Well at least we would get a good view...
I captured this because I remember reading how they sleep with one half their brain at time, i.e. one eye closed and other open (amazing birds)

That they also can re absorb unlaid eggs....
Which happens for various reasons, STRESS ( as may be with her this year with intruder) or lack of minerals from food, but somehow I think the first would be more fitting)
and the latter is also why they eat the shells.
Probably not the correct scientific detail...
