Unfortunately I don't Kate & Matt ... exceedingly difficult to know what's going on here unless one can check practically every minute! I have much frozen stream which doesn't help & reading Twitter comments can sometimes be confusing ... someone has posted a pic of who they think is Mrs P on nest around six this morning, I have no recording to back that up except that she does seem to be coming back to incubate overnight but not seen during the day when intruder is pestering, seems to be Mr P mostly incubating during day & evening ... general consensus is that eggs seem doomed due to being uncovered for long periods!

You're right Matt, just seen a chick & looks like it came from that first egg laid!

Really wish this hadn't happened ... no idea of care needed!!

Now intruder back & sitting bird gone ..... no chance for this chick I feel!

Can't post anymore unless a miracle happens ... it's too sad for words!

It's terribly sad. I was surprised that the intruder didn't interfere with the eggs.

so very very sad.I was hoping they would not hatch, but wondered if Mr could hear them cheeping hence his continued sitting.
But bless him dont think he realises they have to be fed.

Thanks, Wendy, and I understand you not wishing to post more. Yes, it is all very sad. Poor little mite never asked for this! Will there be more hatches? I wonder.
