Bill Baileys birdwatching challenge!

It's on Sky 3-   I finally get to see this vaunted disaster:)

It looks truly dreadful-

Mrs Seymouraves says let me take them ALL on simultaneously :)

  • I have just watched this programme for the first time & though it was amusing in places, I thought Joe's behaviour in spooking those birds appalling. Surely even a non bird watcher must realise you do not do that. It stops the birds eating.

I was sorry his team won, they shouldn't have.

I too was shouting at the screen. :-D Goldcrest, it's a Goldcrest, you cretins. :-D

And, yes, I am sure we could all do it better, even the most green beginner here, would not have gone out in full view of those Oystercatchers & caused them to fly away.

The bird footage was good though, particularly the Red Kites.

    Best wishes

    Val.

  • Not sure if watching it too often will do my blood pressure any good, still keep taking the tablets

    Pete

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can

We do not have Sky either as we decided to give it up as it was so expensive to pay out each month.  We have freeview too.

Never seen BB yet and from what I have read here I will avoid him in the future too

People who are celebs/comedians on TV are better keeping to their subject and staying away from subjects that they know little or nothing about - it only makes them look stupid or false

  • I thought it was a comedy program :-)

Saw just a bit of it last night with the lady feeding the Red Kites.

I also only have freeview dont buy into the murdoch empire even though it means I miss out on a lot of live sport :-( The Eden Channel looks good though wonder if thats on Virgin or BT.

Chris, treating the programme as a comedy  is probably the best approach and treat the bird shots as a nice birdie bonus.

    Hi Seaman

I am not sure if even I like the BB's style but there agin I tend not to like a lot of modern comedy now so maybe I am a party popper when it comes to most comedians now

I have a sense of fun, and humour believe you me but don't we all have that.

People like The Lemon man, and similar comedians, I cannot stand as they are so childlike and behave like children.  Still, I say it takes all sorts to make the world and let it be that

  • Kathy and Dave if you never get round to watching the programme you will not have missed anything earth shattering,it will have to be a poor viewing night before we bother again. There is usually something more interesting on than this or we could look on the forumThe Sky 3 channel seems to be mainly cheap to make documentaries or throw offs from other stations.

    Hi Pete

Thank you for your thoughts about the situation.  I think BB's programme that will be watched on a whim, or a wet day when there is no TV programmes of interest

The Sky3 channel Freeview is a channel we watch a lot so it will be noticed sooner or later

I tend to take' birding' seriously so it may not suit anyway

    Regards

  • Just to let you know as I re-tune my digi box every Sunday.

I have found that Sky3 is now called "PICK TV" :-)
