Well I've been watching late on this morning a recording of the sunrise on the scrape very early on this Saturday Morning and again it looks just so idilic on the Minsmere scrape with the Avocets and other birds with a fantastic clear sky and an amazing sunrise.
Regards,
Ian.
Just spent the late afternoon and early evening wandering round our local reserve of Nosterfield (our own mini Minsmere)and like Ian says just idyllic with plenty of young and even 3 Arctic Terns to add to the slowly growing year list.We feel so privileged to have such areas within 10 minutes drive from home.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
Yes that's where my RSPB Local Group visited in April and although it wasn't sunny then, i had a most enjoyable day there. Our Local Group where met by the Chairman of the conservation Group who look after that reserve and he told us what birds their where for our Group to view.

Fantastic the urban foxes are back!
I was intrigued to learn on tonight's Springwatch that Cuckoos deal with the toxicity of the caterpillars that they feed on by drawing out their intestinal tracts.
Since I've been feeding Blue Tits meal worms from a window feeder I've been able to observe closely what they do. It appears they they do exactly the same as Cuckoos.
Are these toxic to Blue Tits? Why do they do it? What's your theory Mrs T?
