Hi, I just thought I would like to share some pics from Devon today. Yesterday only 2 siskins visited the garden, but today there were about 8 or 9 and they managed to intimidate the only goldfinch.
Hiding to see if it's clear
Face off with the siskins, but actually fed quite happily together

back drop for the birds

I have travelled a fair bit of North Devon and will be returning this September.

Hi Bramble67
love yours pics.
thanks for sharing :-)
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Brilliant photos but sad for me as if they are in Devon already I guess that means they have flown straight over me without stopping for a comfort break!!!!!
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Him Buzzard. My mum lives between Between Barnstaple and South Molton, I am just staying for Half term, Her selection of birds is far wider than mine at home in London.
Hi Bramble,
What a wonderful collection of birds, and great photos. Your mum is very lucky - and so are you to be able to visit.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi Bramble67, thanks for a lovely sequence of photo's. Haven't seen any siskins this year.
Not sure where they are all coming from, but from 8 yesterday to 13 this morning the siskins are now up to over 20. Still one lonely goldfinch.
Lovely pics Bramble67! Such delightful birds to have visit your garden!!

Love your pictures Bramble {big smile}
The Goldies are as beautiful as ever.
Love your Male Siskin. They are so attractive with their little 'black hat' they have.
