  • I love the pictures, that siskin at the top is smashing, Looks like a good day out to be had there, your lucky to have somewhere like that on your doorstep.

    Lovely report and super pictures.  I love to read about other peoples trips out , and see all the pictures that they bring back to post on this Forum.  Lots of realism going on. {big smile}

    Still have to complete a report myself about Marston Vale.  Will complete asap along with Great Northern Diver pictures.

    Birdwatcher: Love the Sisken a lot.

    They are a welcome addition to anyones garden.

    Great varaiton of birds that you have there

    By the way love to see your second set of pictures too {thumbs up}

    Regards

  • Hi Birdwatcher, great photos.

    I know someone who lives and works minutes from there and visits nearly every day. Just recently I have been following the progress of the sole remaining black swan cygnet. I was quite fearful for it over Christmas/New Year, particularly after its two siblings died (one disappeared so they think that was by predation), but having survived the really bad weather it is coming on in leaps and bounds now.

    The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.

    The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!

  • Great pics birdwatcher! I also love the first siskin in particular! Another place to add to my 'must go to' list!!

    I think this may be the cygnet you mention. If it is , it is looking fit and healthy

  • YAY!!!!! The sole survivor. (S)he seems to be growing daily now. There is a noticeable difference from even a month back when you see him/her alongside Mum. Many thanks for that, it's a fabulous photo.

  • Hi Birdwatcher

    Lovely photos you have there.  The siskin one is really lovely but I also love the Black Swan.   It's sounds like a great place to visit.  Thanks for posting the photos they really are quite lovely.

  • Oh Birdwatcher - thanks for the cygnet photo - what a little darling!   Oooh you could just hug em when they look that cute!

  • Hi Birdwatcher, what a superb shot of the cygnet - he is so cuddly and fluffy. What a coincidence that Squirrel knows all about him. Nice to be able to add some provenence!

    Cheers, Linda.

  • Birdwatcher, Thanks for your lovely photographs. Great to be able to see the black swan and her baby. I think it is fantastic that you were able to show Squirrel,  how the cygnet is progressing.
