He's lovely Maisie - and well done you for hand-rearing him and giving him a life. Who knows what would have befallen him if you hadn't taken him in.

Well done. They are remarkable birds. They are born, live and die in the same tight community.

Maisie, Dylan certainly looks a character. Feel I can see mischief in that face. So lovely you were able to rescue him and then know he has been released.

Living in Norfolk I have been lucky enough to see this spectacular roost at Buckenham and would recommend a visit to anybody, you cannot fail to be impressed by this event, definitely up there with the flocks of Knot and Pink-footed Geese at Snettisham.

Cannot say I agree with some of the comments made about the article on the daily Mail website, some people definitely need to get the facts right before making such statements, well I suppose everybody is entitled to their opinion even if it based on nothing but ignorance.

Hi ND, I hadn't read the comments on the site, so have just done so. I just wonder if some of these people, who make such remarks, just love to try and incite an argument and really don't know much about anything. Either that or one of these 'Big Mouths', who think they know everything and just talk rubbish. We have all met them !!

Sparrow, thanks for the link, what a wonderful sight that must have been.  Even with the cacaphony of noise, I wish it was me that had seen them.

I know they're not everyones' cup of tea but they are rather striking birds, them and other corvids.
