Shetland Diaries

Simon King is on BBC Scotland, at 8pm

  • Hi Susan, not just Scotland, it's Simon King's Shetland Diaries, BBC2 at 8 p.m. starting tonight for the next three Thursdays.

The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.

The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!

  • Oh wow it was superb and now I really want to go to the Shetlands!! Lol!! Maybe 2013! (Mull this year, Pitlochry 2011, Skye in 2012...)

  • I haven't watched it yet, but I just love anything Simon King does. He has such superb knowledge and this, plus his  enthusiasm, is transferred to the listener so easily.

  • It was a brilliant programme and if the two remaining maintain the standard of that of last night (and there is no reason why they shouldn't) I will be wondering why it couldn't have been made into more than three programmes. In my opinion it knocked spots off Spring/Autumnwatch!

  • Most enjoyable, don't you just want to be there.  I knew the programme was coming but Ithink I'd forgotten it February already lol so it was great that I hadn't missed it.

  • Great programme!  Really makes you want to go there and don't you just love those otters?

There is something new to learn everyday...

I quite agree!  A brilliant programme, Shetlands is definately on my places to visit list!

  • I have just watched it and it was brilliant. He never disappoints me. It is some years since I visited the Shetland's and have always said that I must go back. I agree Squirrel. It made autumn/spring watch look like Blue Peter.
