Another day out along the coast. This time to see if I could see the Great Northern & Black Throated Divers.
I left it rather late in the day. So again what bit of light there was, I tried to get as good as shots as I could.
The birds were visible but at a long distance, so the photo's aren't great!
Two top photo's of the Black Throated Diver
Great Northern Diver
A Cormorant swimming with them both.

Nature Is Amazing - Let Us Keep It That Way
Wow! I don't know what you mean about "photos aren't great" as they are fabulous Buzzard. Thanks for sharing them.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Great to see the divers. I agree with Squirrel, you are too self critical. I definitely haven't got the hang of my new camera yet and admire the way you have adjusted so quickly and are producing these brilliant photos.
Can't knock those pics for a dark afternoon at distance :)

Hi Buzzard
Lovely photos of the Divers - I've never seen this bird before so thanks. Where are they generally found.

Hi,
Black and red throated divers breed in Scotland but in winter all 3 diver spp. winter off most of our coasts. Check local county bird reports for the best places near you.

Hope this helps, thanks S for your info.
Hi Seymouraves
Thanks for that. We live right on the North Essex coast and have backwaters that we go to regularly - wasn't sure we were too far south to see them so will check out the bird reports.
Kezmo , we must have submitted our replies at the same time.
Check the links I have included on my last post.
Thanks Buzzard for the info, not sure if we will get to Norfolk any time soon but it's good to note for the future.
HI,
I used to visit Bradwell on Sea in the 80s- is it still good?
