In extremely poor light and towards the end of a very good day birding. I visited a feeding station to find some rather fat Rats tucking into some grain.
I also managed a few photo's of a few birds.

Just love all the photos even the rat! I actually quite like rats, they are very handsome creatures. We had one which the cat caught and brought in. It was very much dead but I remember thinking at the time even with lack of breath that it was in very good condition. The coat was very shiny and well groomed probably due to all the free food of seed it was getting.

Nice pics Buzzard and no, MarJus, you're not alone as I quite like rats too. They might be classed as vermin but they are still wildlife after all. Our cat brought one in once too Kezmo but it was very much alive! I wrote about it on another thread a few months ago.

They are fat rats aren't they! Really round, bet they have fun games rolling each other down banks in the middle of the night lol
