Had a few hours out and about, took a few photo's to share with you.
Hide and Seek!
The weather wasn't great, but at least I was out messing on with my camera.
Hope you enjoy the pics.

Wow Buzzard, what fabulous photos. You and that camera are turning into a formidable team.
(p.s. When I saw the thread title I half-expected some obscure and ancient recipe! LOL),
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
They are fantastic photographs Buzzard. Sounds like a lovely few hours.

Thanks Squirrel, had a good chuckle as always at your reply.
Went back to the lake on 24/01/10 and got a few more photo's of the female Tufted Duck
This Canada Goose was acting as the ice breaker!
The rest of them sat back and watched, two groups of about twenty in each.

Great photos again Buzzard. Something about No 2 really appeals to me.
Fabulous close-ups. Love the canada goose, it looks as though some really hard effort was being employed there.
Great pics as always. Thanks for sharing them with us.
There is something new to learn everyday...

A return visit today 28/01/2010 and still good numbers of Canada Geese upto sixty now present.
There was about ten Tufted Ducks, and a very lightly coloured female Mallard.
A few more photo's of todays birds.
I was a bit slow of the mark and missed the approaching flock of about 30 geese so only managed a couple of shots of the flock landing.
A few photo's of the lightly coloured Mallard
A Cob Mute Swan made an appearance, a sequence of shots whilst he was feeding.
