Whyile walking along the river I saw a few newcomers to the river! Wigeon, Goldeneye and a little grebe! This is the first time I've seen them around so after nipping to the shop I went back home to get my camera and spent a little while by the river taking photos. Also spotted a mistle thrush, tree creeper, crow, blue tit, wren and cormrants!
And here's one of Tai who behaved so well while I was busy taking photos!

Well it was quite a nice day today, apart from the cold nipping away at my fingers lol I've never seen goldeneye, wigeon or little grebes on the river before, I suspect the waterways freezing over may have pushed them over this way. Don't know how long they will stay around though as even some of the faster flowing river channels are closing up with ice!
Lovely photographs KatTai Glad you went back for the camera. Love Tai.
Great collections of photos KatTai! Sounds like you had a lovely walk :o)
Tai is a beautiful looking dog - and seems to be very well behaved too!
Had another new visitor to the river today - a goodsander!
Great collections of photos KatTai!
