hi there
While at Leighton Moss at the weekend Dave and I picked up some nice all round shots of Greylag Geese.
I have always associated Greylags (and Pink Feet) as parkland grazers taking advantage of human food. In this case these birds are complelety in their own element. They took off in their goose formations in their dozens, and acted as natural as they should. They looked wild and free.
These birds will be incorporated into my up and coming report.
Regards
Kathy and Dave
Nice one Blackbird! looking forward to your report.
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
Lovely pics of the greylag. a new one for me. I look forward to your report also.

Thank you everyone for your kind replies that you added to my post
I was amazed how close the Greylags got to the hide, and they where great to photograph.
I will add my report as soon as possible.
Great pics Blackbird,
On Saturday i saw a small flock of Greylags feeding on waterlogged land beside a road running through Strathclyde Country PArk, approx 4 pm. Of course, no camera, but I doubt I'd compete with your pictures anyway.
