just a short post to recommend a visit to Leighton Moss, I was up there Friday to hopefully see the Bearded Tits, and was not disappointed, they are showing well in the mornings on the grit trays that have been put out, a new tick for me so I was thrilled and also managed some photos despite the gloomy weather, there are more on my site - http://walksnwildlife.blogspot.com/

hi Gary
What super pictures of your Bearded Tit - well done - plucky little bird.
Well done with the whole thing of photographing a Bearded TIR. i see he has a ring on his leg - a red/pink one.
I was told my Turnstones pictures showed rings from another post of mine here. You are better to try to get the numbers on the rings if possible. Yes, and send the evidence to associated bodies.
Love your blog too!!

Just had a good look through your blog too (not been able to before as the pics didn't show for some weird reason!!). Excellent photos!! Really enjoyed it!

Great photos Gary, too far away from us, sadly, as I would love to visit.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
marjus, many thanks, glad you enjoyed them, you won't be disappointed at Leighton Moss, well worth a visit always something to see all year round.

Gary, just love your Bearded Tit photograph. Haven't been to Leighton Moss for some years. Obviously time I made another visit. Thank you.
Brilliant stuff Gary!
Enjoyed your blog and pictures. I've been to Leighton this year and would go again in a heart beat! Thinking of maybe getting a B&B near by so as to have as much of the day as possible next time, you need all the hours you can get, great place. Thanks for sharing.
John
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
How fantastic to get photos of bearded tits - well done you! I've never been to Leighton Moss but it's definitely on my list now!
There is something new to learn everyday...

Hi John
Glad you enjoyed the pictures, i certainly enjoyed taking them, and you are right Leighton Moss is a great place and I should really get there more than I do as it is only 45 mins away, staying over is certainly the way to go giving you a full day there as there is lots going on all day, the starling roosts in the evening sound good at the moment.
