My partner Dave and I has a fabulous weekend at Norfolk.
One of our many birding highlights - simply to see a few group of 'Turnstones' moving around the sea front.
They seemed to totoally unafraid of people being so close to them. People stopped in tjheir tracks to look at them and their antics.
They sturted up and down the sea walls overlooking the beach area. It was a great chance of getting a good picture of them.
They also seemed to like feeding within the well manicured grass in the park area for more food stuffs no doubt.
Pictures are as follows
Just a picture of the area itself
Hi there
Sorry for the lack of replies as I was having some PC problems - but now cooking on gas once more.
MarJus: Thank you for your kind comments - yes. I saw a lot of birds once more includign a Water Rail at Titchwell (yet another to add to the tick list). Will write report shortly.
Katie: Thank you for your help. I will get in touch with people mentioned on the link as as possible and it wlil be interesting to what is said about the birds in question - their age, and where they are from etc...
Now I must be a bit more observant with the birds rings on their legs - if they are still enough.
Brenda: Thank you for your kind remarks. Will write a report soon and add to this forum.
John: I can see why you miss Hunstanton - what a lovley old fashioned sea town full of charm as it is. I can see wahy the Turnstones like it so much. Yes, it would be grest to see Turnstanes around your feet anytime as they are very endearing little birds.
ND: Thank you for your kind comments. Must have another sea town visit in the future.
Regards
Kathy and Dave
