Where NOT to see wildlife .

I have walked around loch spynie over the past 50 odd years , and NEVER seen it so bad . RSPB took it over and what a mess , added a donation box and a big sign . quote (this is a great place to see all kinds of wetland birds and take in spectacular views across the loch) .

Spectacular views across the loch , only if you are 10 feet tall , 1 hut , and 2 seats set along the loch, you can see out of the hut and the only real place to see anything on the loch.   The 2 seats even if you could stand on them you would not see over the reeds.

Loch Spynie has became busy over the last few years and it has gotten worse , Why no weed cutting ?. why have seats when you can not see over the reeds ,

A new nesting platform was installed in front of the hut , and at nesting time with the terns , it broke loose and is now in the weed at the end of the loch ?.  Been there for months now ?.

Anyway NOT a member no more , Not worth supporting if you can not do anything local and leave this loch so overgrown.

This is NOT what i would call conservation ..

  • That's sad to read, but am afraid your post will probably go unread by any official RSPB staff as they are never really found on here sadly, maybe best drop them an email and raise your concerns, but tbh I doubt anything will change if you even get a reply Rolling eyes
