North Devon

Route back was A361, bit of M5 to Taunton, across to the A303, A37 to Shepton Mallet then back onto the A361 through Frome to home. I didn't do any planning as it was a last minute flying visit to see family who were in the area Weds morning. I had one Devon reserve bookmarked in my phone but it was in SD unfortunately and over two hours from where we ended up (Westward Ho!)

Is WWT Wiltshire Wildlife Trust?

I see. I could've taken the A39 through Glastonbury on the way home instead. Not heard of (the other) WWT before. Interesting...

Dunno if I fancy driving there today, though!

How wet is Steart? Can it be walked around in trainers or are boots required?

I probably wouldn't have got there until around 5pm yesterday. I just don't want to arrive in flip flops when I need wellies if I go another day. :-)

If you were going near Glastonbury Ham Wall and Grey Lake would only be 10 minutes away

No, it's a bit further than that... Soz at work so got no details.... It's all part of the Somerset levels tho. My satnav took me past greylake from the SW to ham wall

Ah, OK. There appears to be several small reserves in that area. If you turn right out of HW there looks to be another place a few yards along the road on the left...

Yeah, there is. Good marsh harrier sightings from there from Noah's Hide. Can't remember what it's called though

This place probably. It was only a pedestrian entrance I saw. Parking looks to be around the other side.
