Towton Moor Battlefield Walk - Red kites

The circular walk around Towton Moor battlefield this morning proved to be quite sterile, apart from four red kites which put up from a large open field adjacent to Towton village. Three of them headed off north towards Tadcaster, the fourth headed in my direction and followed the Cock Beck southwest. These are all images of that fourth bird, taken over about 30 seconds. Seems curious to see kites quartering the battlefield as I imagine they were almost 561 years ago on the morning after the battle.
